I remember the first time I heard this song I was extremely young, but I knew that something amazing was happening. The music video that accompanies this song is so powerful because it shows a huge human chain being formed around the world. I truly believe that when as human beings, all of our voices unite as one we can accomplish anything. Energy is so powerful and I truly believe that Michael Jackson is an alchemist. This song is what I’ve used since I was a child to process painful emotions, when I felt alone, and when I dealt with physical abuse and trauma. It’s gotten me through moments where I felt like I had no one else to listen, and when I felt like the very people in my family who should’ve been there for me weren’t. This song has been there for me through my hardest times and reminded me that I’m never alone even in the most difficult terrane moments.
